- Best Practice for success with vaginal births after cesareans, awarded to Gifford’s midwifery practice, American College of Nurse-Midwives (2011)
- Runner-up Best Practice for lowest rate of low birth weight infants, awarded to Gifford’s midwifery practice, American College of Nurse-Midwives (2011)
- Runner-up Best Practice for lowest rate of operative vaginal births (use of vacuum or forceps), awarded to Gifford’s midwifery practice, American College of Nurse-Midwives (2011)
- Aster Award for marketing excellence (2010 and 2011)
- Distinguished Health Professional Award for Advances in Clinical Practice, awarded to Gifford’s Birthing Center nurses, March of Dimes (2005)
- NCQA Patient-Centered Medical Home recognition for Gifford's Berlin, Bethel, Chelsea, Randolph and Rochester community health centers.

- 2012 Honor Roll, U.S. News and World Report (a recognition given to only 39 nursing homes nationally receiving four straight quarters of five-star rankings in all categories evaluated by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services)
