Gifford’s volunteer Chaplaincy Program was created in 2000 with the help of area clergy. Since a team of about 20 volunteer chaplains has been offering spiritual guidance and listening ears to patients in need and to nursing home residents.
In addition, the hospital employs a part-time chaplain and maintains the Chun Chapel, named for the late Dr. Kwang Chun, a Gifford trustee and chief of surgery. The chapel is located near the hospital’s inpatient units and is available for patients, visitors and staff.
Call the chaplain to learn more about the program, including available services and how you can get involved, at (802) 728-2107.
