Food Services |  | Gifford’s exemplary culinary team offers a variety of exciting foods to satisfy even the most discerning pallets. The medical center’s patients, visitors and staff enjoy locally-grown foods prepared by classically-trained chefs using the healthiest methods known. Gifford was the first hospital in Vermont to offer hotel-style room service. Our mission is to “give you what you want, when you want it, as long as you can have it.” Special menus have been created to accommodate a variety of patient diets. If you don’t see what you desire on the menu, our chefs can create it for you. Patients can call the kitchen directly to place their orders and find out daily specials. A menu host is also available to assist patients in making their meal selections.
Room service
Room service is available seven days a week during the following times:
- Breakfast orders will be taken by the menu host the night before and delivered hot and fresh to patients’ bedsides between 7:30-8 a.m.
- Lunch and dinner room service is available daily from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Visitors and family members can enjoy a meal in our cafeteria, which offers everything from an array of comfort and ethnic foods to sandwiches, soups and more. We look forward to serving you.

Vending
Vending machines are available 24 hours a day throughout the hospital.
Catering
Gifford offers onsite catering for groups using our Conference Center and facilities. Options include everything from beverages to snack items to meals prepared by our professional chefs. Please call our catering coordinator at (802) 728-2373 for options, pricing and to schedule an event.
