RANDOLPH, Nov. 27, 2007 – Gifford Medical Center family physician Dr. Terry Cantlin has received a three-year appointment from the American College of Surgeons’ Commission on Cancer as a cancer liaison physician.
Dr. Cantlin, a provider at Gifford’s Bethel Health Center, is among 1,600 volunteer physicians nationwide who are responsible for spearheading Commission on Cancer initiatives within their hospital cancer programs. The Commission on Cancer is a consortium of 46 professional organizations dedicated to assuring access and improving the quality of cancer programs, like the one at Gifford.
Certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Practice, Dr. Cantlin has worked at Gifford for 20 years.
