Cardiopulmonary Services

Through its Cardiopulmonary Department, Gifford Medical Center offers comprehensive diagnostic services for the heart and lungs, including pulmonary function and cardiac stress testing for both inpatients and outpatients with a state-of-the-art laboratory. These cardiopulmonary services significantly enhance the medical center’s ability to diagnose and treat heart and lung disease, as well as heart and lung function and occupational respiratory problems such as Farmer’s Lung.

Both Cardiac Rehabilitation and Pulmonary Rehabilitation programs are also offered. Cardiac rehabilitation helps patients following a heart attack, other heart illness or heart surgery build strength and endurance. Pulmonary rehabilitation is for individuals with lung disease, such as COPD. Both programs involve monitored exercise and education and are offered over a period of weeks. To get involved, call today.
