The Robin's Nest Child Enrichment Center at Gifford

The Robin's Nest Child Enrichment Center, located

on the Gifford campus, is for children 6 weeks to 6 years old. The center is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children - a voluntary and rigorous standard to maintain - and has earned four “STARS” from a state program that recognizes quality child care centers. The Robin’s Nest can care for a maximum of 44 children at one time, including eight infants, eight pre-toddlers, 10 toddlers/young preschoolers and 18 preschoolers.

The daily schedule offers children play and learning experiences with a variety of toys, books and equipment, all designed to enhance a child’s social, emotional, cognitive and fine/gross motor skill development. The Robin’s Nest participates in the Vermont State Food Program, and meals are provided for all children.

The Robin’s Nest’s hours of operation are 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Children must enroll for a minimum of two full days (up to nine hours a day) each week. While placement priority is reserved for hospital employees, any remaining openings are made available to other families in the community.
