Nuclear Medicine

Nuclear Medicine scans show the function and structure of organs and are used to identify problems that routine X-rays, ultrasounds, CT scans and MRIs are unable to diagnose. Gifford’s Nuclear Medicine Department commonly offers cardiac and gastric emptying studies and bone, biliary, thyroid, renal, sentinel node, white blood cell and gastrointestinal bleed scans.

The Nuclear Medicine Department is located just left of the main lobby with the Radiology Department and the outpatient Laboratory.
